Robert Cantu with RC Remodeling is not a class act and I feel like I got ripped off. Last Friday he said he'd be here Tuesday and hanging 3 fans would be $150 each. I thought $450 was a lot for 3 ceiling fans so I hung the 3 myself but took down 1 because I didn't know the switch was bad but I assumed it was. The fan he had to hang was assembled and the previous fan was already removed. He ended up hanging 1 fan, replacing 2 switches, replacing 2 outlets on the first floor, replacing a patio light I had bought and 2 front porch lights he bought. He had less than $100 in materials and he charged me $750. I was upset. I asked him if he charged me for all 3 of them to go to Home Depot to get the switches and he said I'm charged for all 3 of them to go to Home Depot 2 times. Travel time for 1 guy to get parts is normal, that's 2 trips 2 hours, not 2 trips 6 hours, that's just stupid. He had no vacuum to clean up his mess and left cut wires and screws and garbage in every room he worked in. He left all the boxes and old old stuff here also. If he didn't want to take it with him he should've at least put it in my garbage. So for 7 hours he was here I got charged twice what I should've been charged. I wish I had wrote him a check because I would've stopped payment on it. I'm upset at myself for giving him half of my social security check for less than a day of work
