Dave Benjamin is not someone I would EVER do business with. I do NOT reommend him for anything and you should avois him like the plague

He is in breach of contract and took us for 5K. In addition to Mr. Benjamin walking out on the contract, we are also left with several problems which are a direct result of his incompetence or deliberate attempt to sabotage. We are still without windows, Mr. Benjamin told us he had ordered windows on July 5, 2011 Home Depot confirmed several other orders on his account but a window order was NEVER placed on his behalf. Because he has taken out the window and the framing, we are looking at 3-4 weeks and a cost of $1000 to replace both windows. Plus our electric bill was $400 for the time the windows were out. Trouble finding a contractor willing to finish his work – Contractors hesitant because his taping and mudding was wrong. He also used wrong panels for the drywall in the bathroom. · Plumbing and electrical work should be completed BEFORE hanging drywall. Most drywall needs to be taken down to plumb and do electrical work now. Hardwood floor was damaged by Dave Benjamin · A hole was left in the basement drywall when he was checking for plumbing · Wrong drywall was used in what is supposed to have been the bathroom (needs moisture absorbent) · Left old carpeting in crawlspace instead of disposing of it – potential fire hazard

THIS WANNA BE CONTRACTOR HAS ZERO REGARD FOR THE PEOPLE HE TAKES ADVANTAGE OF. DRIVES AROUND IN HIS LITTLE TRUCK WITH A CONTRACTORS REGISTRATION NUMBER AND TAKES ADVANTAGE OF ANYONE AND EVERYONE. DO NOT TRUST THIS INDIVIDUAL AS HE HAS NO CLUE WHAT HE IS DOING! HE COST MY FAMILY OVER $12,000.00 IN VERY POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP. HIS INSURANCE COMPANY CAME TO OUR HOME AND COULDN'T BELIEVE THE POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP. tHE ADJUSTER CALLED HIS WORK SHODDY AT BEST! I HAVE PICTURES IF ANYONE WANTS TO SEE THEM. WE ARE GOOD PEOPLE WHO WERE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY DAVE BENJAMIN. HIS INSURANCE COMPANY DETERMINED THAT WE HAVE VALID CLAIMS, HOWEVER, THEY DO NOT COVER POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP!!!!!
