I went to salmex because I had a loud noise coming from my engine/transmission area. After 3 days and 300 dollars later (CASH ONLY NO RECEIPT) they were done diagnosing. I was told that I had worn bearings making the noise and to call back in a week to get a price for repair. When I called back I was told to call back in 3 to 4 days. While I waited to call I decided to go look for myself and see if I could figure anything out. What I found was my bellhousing was cracked/broken all along the top and missing some bolts. Something that was very easy to see. I also found my flexplate nuts loose and wear on my flexplate weight. After tightening the nuts and replacing the missing screws the noise was gone. Salmex not only misdiagnosed the problem, after confronting the owner he told me I was wrong and refused to do anything to make good on his mistake. In my opinion, if you want good honest auto work don't use Salmex.
