This is a good nursing facility to work whether you are a cna, lpn or rn. The nursing staff does their best with everything and don't get enough credit for what they do. So does housekeeping, dietary and maintenance. But the thing that makes people not want to work at a nursing home is that all of the raises go to the department heads and the less employees get the pennies, whereas when you work in the hospital, you get a better raise. Then the department heads don't help their own people out in their own department and they are overworked. The work is unappreciated and you get is a $10 gift card in dietary. You can do better than that. Then if you are short in dietary, the department head doesn't help you. She just looks at you, like" I'm doing my own work and I'm going home at 4:30pm." All you get is a lousy $.10 or $.15 raise. If you are looking to get a better raise, I would prefer you working at the hospital. Signed anonymously.
