My husband and I hired Jeremy Burnett, the owner of Triple BBB Construction to do a major remodel on our lake house almost four years ago after checking out the references he gave us. He told us he also worked as a preacher so we figured he would be honest and trustworthy. (Mistake!) We SO wish we had hired ANYBODY else! He miscalculated the amount of siding by a large amount( not accounting for NEARLY enough, which is a mistake that NO experienced builder should ever do. Our son caught his huge error in our contract with him . When informed of his mistake, he acted like it was " no big deal" that it cost us thousands more. He took the top off of the house right before leaving to go out of state for several days and rain came in and collapsed a ceiling and made one of our bedrooms unusable . When I asked him why he would remove the roof and shut the job down for days, his " excuse" was that his trip to an out of state wedding was planned over a year before! ( Which was even worse ! An unexpected death in the family would have been understandable , but not a PLANNED trip! With lots of rain in the weather forecast!) So.. we ended up with a mildew/ mold problem. My husband went up to check on the job and found an exterior wall bowed out SEVERAL INCHES! We had to have the wall winched back in place and have two ugly steel beams running from the basement to the roof installed, (inside a bedroom and a living room/ kitchen) costing us thousands more and making my plans to add a fireplace impossible. He finished his part of the job three and a half years ago but we KEEP finding " screw-ups!" We are now having to have the gutters torn out and replaced because he did such a sorry job that they have already ROTTED! Professionals who inspected the rot say that they had never seen such bad work that was guaranteed to rot and that he HAD to have known it when he did the work. When I called "Brother Burnett" to tell him about the rotten gutters, he basically said " tough s##t" and hung up on me! If you are smart , you will stay FAR, FAR away from this guy who calls himself a excellent builder and a good Christian!! He is NEITHER!! He made the renovation an absolute nightmare that is STILL costing us money that we shouldn't have to spend. All because of his shoddy work! If anyone wants to know more about this guy's work, we will be more than glad to provide info. NOBODY deserves what we went through , having to pay dearly for HIS lack of knowledge, building skills and character. Obviously there is a reason that he is not a member of the Better Business Bureau or other organizations that exist to warn potential clients about lousy builders! Jan Painter
