Had terrible experience & lost big money . His work is worse than a beginner painter. He took $1000 advance before starting & end of the week ask to write $2000 check as he needs to pay his son, we did . Right before Labor Day he again asked for $600 & left early. He returned on Tuesday after labor day Sept 6th, after working for less than 3 hours he asked to write $ 800 check, this time we said no as he had already taken more than 50% already & he has only touched 1/4 th of painting that also has issues... he quietly picked his stuff & left without saying any thing ... called him what happened he said since we refused to pay $800 he is upset. We were shocked & told him see contract you have singed, you yourself said you will take 50% of money after you have completed 50%, he said forget that I need to eat & feed my family will not come back unless we pay him... asked him to come back & let's talk ... he came back ... but not to work but to take money. He said nothing doing if we want him to continue we need to pay him. Felt helpless as had already paid over 50% with 1/4 work that too had issues... gave him the check he left & said he will continue tomorrow ... worked next 5 days without his son, he said his son is very sick... Next Monday pointed out the fixes he had done to his painting but the issues are still there... just in few minute he along with his son left at noon leaving the work half way ... took all his stuff including paints. Called him, he did not pick phone, left vm no call. Sent text msg no response at all... left the house in mess... walls with patch which he had put to fix the issue as per him...feel lost big money & peace of mind. Excitement of painting getting our house turned into a nightmare... feeling terrible .... His rating should be -0 He is worse than a beginner

After doing minimal painting work ... I made the mistake of advancing Mr. Jim Stacey and his son approximately $1500 to purchase materials to finish a job. The day of delivery never occured and that was the last I saw of Mr. Stacey. He never returned phone calls ... just vanished with my money and left me with an incomplete job. He operates under the guise of being veryreasonable and super friendly ... but that is just the hook. He often puts fliers in neighborhood mailboxes ... so you have all been warned!

I wouldn’t hire this company. I got an estimate from Mr. Stacy. I walked him around my house. I told him as well as showed him the drywall needed repair, windows needed caulking, screw pops needed fixing. My townhome hadn’t been touched in 16 years. He said he could do the job. Well, he sent 1 man to do all this work. The walls weren’t prepped for painting. The screw pops weren’t fixed. The windows weren’t recaulked. Nothing was delivered as promised. No written contract, so I lost 1450.00 of a 3100.00 job quote. I wish I could post pictures. The work was terrible. After I complained. Mr. Stacy said he would send that same man back to complete my living room and then he would finish the rest. The next morning Ron shows up again. No material to fix the caulking issues. Just ready to slap more paint over cracks and screw pops. I told him just to get his things and leave. Mr. Stacy texted me to ask what was wrong. I told him again of my displeasure and that this has become a hostile working environment and I am looking for someone else. Not one mention about a refund or how he planned to make it right. He rooked me for 1450.00. Never again. Expensive lesson learned.
