The idea to open a health food store, on the under-serviced west side of Marion County, was born in early 2010. Cara Owens, a health and fitness enthusiast herself, has always been passionate about helping people and concluded that there was great potential in Ocala for her concept of offering a fresh take on health living. Vitalize grew into its new name, Vitalize Natural Market & Juice Bar, when it expanded in July 2013 to offer fresh a 100% organic juice and smoothie bar in the rear of its current location. The menu contains ten smoothie options that include superfood ingredients like chia seed, kale, maca root and flax seed. We also have options for those who don’t want their drinks to “taste healthy”. Our popular Boss smoothie features a brilliant blend of chocolate, peanut butter and banana while remaining low in fat and sugar. Our Triple Layer Chocolate smoothie contains five servings of fruits and vegetables and doesn’t taste much different than a regular chocolate milkshake. The juices are made fresh every day and contain 100% organic fruits and vegetables. There is nothing added to our juices which means no water, absolutely no sugars or sweeteners of any kind and of course nothing artificial.
