Wave Trek Srufboards was founded in 1969 by Bruce Gabrielson in Huntington Beach, CA. Bruce moved to Southern Maryland in the 1980s.
Bruce Gabrielson was daught to shape by Dale Velzy in 1968 and opened his shop in Huntington Beach when Dale gave him his shaping equipment in 1970. Bruce still shapes and builds custom boards, both traditional foam and Epoxy. His shop also sells the usual surfing equipment including leashes, wax, wetsuits, T-shirts, etc.
