The Autism Society of Ohio is dedicated to improving the lives of all affected by autism in Ohio through information and referral services, an information packed website, a weekly e-newsletter, and an information phone line. The Autism Society of Ohio advocates for individuals with autism, their families and those who work with them in Ohio by working with all of the different state agencies (ie. Ohio Departments of Health, Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, Education, etc.) to improve and increase services. ASO advocates with the Ohio General Assembly on legislation affecting individuals with autism and organizes grassroots advocacy to do the same through the Ohio Autism Advocacy Network and collaborates with other state disability organizations.
