Compared to Galveston, Surfside Beach is closer to Houston and has much less traffic. The beach is cleaner and it is much better for surfing, fishing

This was our personal unit for many years and we enjoyed countless hours at the end of our walkover... "The Ritz Pelican" is the only townhome in the Village of Surfside Beach that has a private dune walkover to the beach. It's one of the few walkovers in Surfside that survived Ike! :)... For our Snowbird "Winter Texan" visitors it has an electric fireplace that generates lots of warmth. 8-)
