I highly recommend TeamKat martial arts. My husband and I have been taking part in the adult karate classes for almost a year, and I am so happy with our experience. Sensei Katrina is extremely knowledgeable and professional, holding multiple black belts. She definitely knows her stuff! Even more important though is that Sensei Katrina is a great teacher. She is personable, patient, but even so, always pushes me to put in my best effort every class. I appreciate the variety in the karate curriculum. Lessons are a great mix between the practical and traditional. I personally love the focus on self-defense and feel much more confident in myself because of the many techniques I’ve learned. Sensei Katrina only passes students to the next belt level when they are completely ready. Belts in Sensei Katrina’s system have meaning. You can’t buy your belt by taking lessons and just showing up. I worked hard to earn my current belt, and I wear it with pride. I sincerely recommend that you contact Sensei Katrina if you have any interest in learning martial arts. You won’t find her quality of curriculum anywhere else!
