Fine Artist - Painter Willy Bo Richardson is an American abstract painter based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, known for large-scale paintings characterized by fluid vertical strokes, layered color, and spatial optical effects. Educated at the University of Texas at Austin and Pratt Institute, Richardson has exhibited nationally and internationally and has participated in major exhibitions including 70 Years of Abstract Painting – Excerpts in New York. His work explores perception, rhythm, and the material presence of paint, creating contemplative visual environments that emphasize color relationships and spatial experience. Richardson’s paintings are held in institutional collections, including the Albuquerque Museum, and he is represented by galleries in New Mexico, New York, California, and Mexico.
