Founded in December 2008, Primary Natural Resources ("Primary") was created to pursue the acquisition and exploration of oil and gas properties in the Mid-Continent and Permian. Since inception, Primary has become increasingly focused on the Anadarko basin due to CEO Rich Talley's extensive experience in the area. Fragmented ownship provides easy entry in this area, which has some of the most compelling economics in North America with the emergence of several "renaissance" plays. ​
