While we are a relatively young company, we have experienced growth in each of our 6 years. Advanced Machining Systems was founded in 2006. The name Advanced Machining Systems was chosen as it truly reflects what this business is about: Adding value to our customers with 'state of the art' machining services. AMS is an engineer owned and managed company. Founder and Owner, Chris Deptola ( BS - University of Pittsburgh, MS - Lehigh University ), has previously worked extensively in the aluminum industry for Alcan Aluminum and Reynolds Metals Company. During his tenure in the aluminum industry he held the positions of Engineer, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager, Plant Manager and CI Champion (Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt ). As such, Chris has had success managing in larger organizations and is applying that knowledge to grow his own business. The common variable for successful businesses, of any size, is customer satisfaction. AMS clearly recognizes this and strives to exceed our customer's expectations.
