Date Posted: 08/03/2013 User Comments We bought two puppies. One female and one male. Turns out he gave us the wrong birthdate on the AKC papers and our vet caught it. After numerous inquiries, we had a DNA and the father and mother he named and showed us we NOT his parents. Next the female had problems walking. Our vet did Xrays and she has hip dysplasia. She referred us to the University of Florida for a hip replacement. They ran tests and it turns out she has a genetic disorder...Endochondral ossification is a normal bone growth process by which cartilage is replaced by bone in the early development of the fetus. Osteochondrosis is a pathological condition in which normal endochondral ossification, the metamorphoses of cartilage to bone, is disturbed. After we got back her AKC papers, the breeder had line breeded. We filed a compliant with AKC. We have spent many dollars on the female. The breeder said to bring her back and he will euthanize her. So irresponsible. She was one of ten in the litter. He is still breeding and advertising. View Full Rating
