I am renting one of their knee caddies (looks like a child's scooter with a small cushioned bench on it for your knee) and for $25.00 they deliver it to you. Scott (the guy who delivered mine to me), did so the same day AND picked-it up when I was finished with one of them. (I actually rented two of them -- one for indoors use-only and a more runned-down one to use when going outside.) It was well-worth renting two of them. My insurance company (United Health Care) is paying a rental fee for one of them and I paid out-of-pocket for the second one. If you need the knee caddy over a certain period of time then it becomes paid for after a certain time-period and you can keep it (or purchase it at a reduced rate). You can also pay for it, outright (around $500.00). I could not have made it without this knee caddy. I fell twice on crutches and even getting up curbs is easier with the knee caddy. Just place the handle and front wheels up on the curb, then lock the breaks (ask Scott how to do this). Then, place your (bad-side) knee on the bench, bring your good knee up on the curb, then unlock the break and bring the back wheels up. Super simple but you need to be cautious. Scott the gentleman who delivered the knee caddy could not have been nicer or more professional. I DO recommend, however, that you ask him to S-L-O-W-L-Y show you how to collapse the handle bars so it fits better into your car and try it before he leaves. Love this whole product and system !!!
