This place is great. Now, you will see, smell the "typical" live poultry scene, but the place is indoors, so right off the bat you avoid the wet mudy floor I usually see in these places. I saw goats, sheep, turkeys, rabbits, ducks, roosters, hens, pigeons and a few assorted animals I didn't recognize. They were crowded, but not overly so. No dead birds visible. No injured animals either. The guy who helped me was VERY patient. He knew he stuff, made sure I got exactly what I wanted as far as weight (caught an weighed 3 turkeys before we found one I wanted) and told me upfront how much - NO SURPRISES. Macca cleans and dresses your bird, so all you have to do is go home with a gorgeous fresh kill. I will definitely be back. At $2.25/Lb that's a HUGE savings over the 5.50+ /lb you'd get at Citarella or Whole foods and it will not be as fresh, just for the fact you didn't see it looking back at you! This place is good. I beleive they are halal, but please double check. I don't like going to these places in general, but it was a very good experience. Open late, I cant say enough good things.
