James Quigley, salesperson and Dominic Scarfo, owner of Patio Cover Experts, Ypsilanti, MI sold me a pergola cover for $8,500.00 in March of 2015. Following delay after delay, the cover was finally installed in September 2015. Results? It was the wrong color, it leaked, it has no elevation whatsoever, it jutted out over the top of the top of the pergola at awkward angles, and two boards on top of the pergola were damaged. Rain, mildew, and then ice accumulated; the cover had to be removed First, Mr. Scarfo said he would replace it but after talking to Mr. Don Wain, a licensed contractor, he decided to refund my money along with the two $150 consulting fees that I paid Mr. Wain. He committed to payment in full by August 1st. Today is August 3rd. MIchelle ([email protected]) stated that their company would be certain to take care of this issue. Michelle left the company. Since then I have e-mailed Patty, the president (patty@facricationgroup,com) At first, she was concerned about both the poor quality of work and the continual delays. She contacted Mr. Scarfo who then called me and delays begin anew.. And now yesterday, Patricia Setlock, e-mailed me that she could do nothing with Mr. Scarfo. That's both inexcusable and unethical that a company would not put pressure on someone who does such shabby work and is connected to their business.
