Dr. Soares married his wife Laura in 1983. They have enjoyed and celebrated over 30 years together. They have three grown children, Nicholas, Nathaniel and Lauren. Dr. Soares is an avid bicycle rider. He has logged over 40,000 miles on his bicycle. He and his wife experienced an exciting trek from Glacier National Park at the Canadian border to the Grand Canyon. He has also ridden his bike from Canada to Mexico along the Pacific Coast Highway. He continues to commute to work by bike which is a round trip of 10 miles each day. In the summer months, Dr. Soares enjoys kayaking with his wife. He likes to water ski, boogie board and fly kites with his sons and daughter. He is currently learning how to kite board. In the winter he is an avid cross country and downhill skier. You can also find him skating on the ice and sliding down any hill with snow.
