Individual Psychotherapy, Parenting Consultation for Individuals, Couples and Families, Child Psychology, and Psycho-educational Testing
I have been interested in psychology since my teens when I discovered that I had a knack for dream work. My classmates would line up during lunch to discuss their latest dreams. Thus began my journey.
This journey would take me through two graduate degrees and a career in special education and developmental psychology. I understood how children learn and develop in unique ways, expressing their family environments and becoming themselves.

Raising my own three children deepened my experience and enriched me beyond measure. I became a nationally-recognized parenting expert, creating a magazine for Nestle called Very Best Kids.
My passion for knowing the Whole Self meant a third round of graduate school to earn my doctorate in psychology. I trained and worked with the best, interning at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and becoming a licensed psychologist in 1985 (CA Psychology License PSY9176).
In my private practice spanning 28 years, I have been able to blend my therapeutic skills, parenting skills and psycho-educational testing skills, offering a unique range of abilities to my clients. I have enjoyed consulting with schools, serving on a variety of boards of directors, editing The Los Angeles Psychologist, and being a leader in my personal and professional community.
I am always enriching my practice with expanded therapeutic resources. Recent years have been devoted to completing advanced or level 2 training in EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Hypnosis. I am especially proud of my professional development in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, given its power as an integrative, transformational healing process.
On a personal note, my yoga and meditation practices, along with a passion for hiking, diving and gardening connect me with spirit and the energy that permeates this work! You can read more about this on Spirituality and Transformation in Psychotherapy.
