Budget came out to replace the AC/air handler at my parents house. They had the system from 1987 when they moved in. There were some installation hurdles going from older design to new equipment but the techs did a really great, CLEAN job. The city inspector was even impressed by their work. The home has a split system, they are looking forward to having Budget replace the attic system later on down the line.

Be VERY careful if you have to deal with this company. They were assigned to me through my home warranty company for a water heater repair, which turned out needing to be replaced. The hw company only covers certain things (which is normal), so this company felt the need to add on several items as additional charges.
Some were legitimate, however they had a few things that they said were needed to bring things "up to code". When I called them to ask about it, first they said it was "manufacturer's code", something that the warranty company said didn't exist. So I called my city's board of code enforcement. Two of the three things this company wanted to charge were legitimate (expansion tank & lead free shut off valve) and one (the most expensive thing they listed, a pressure reducing valve) was not; the person at the code office couldn't even figure out why they'd try to list that. Not only that, but the technicians didn't even look at my main water line (which is where the PRV is) to see if one was even present. This matters since the PRV is covered under my home warranty plan, so repairing it would have been a covered expense. Instead they wrote it up as needing to install one, which they didn't even verify if one was there. On top of that this company wanted to charge DOUBLE the fee for a permit (permit fee is actually $65, they want to charge $125).
On top of all that, one of their modification charges was flu "modifying" they flu yet they wanted to charge me
