Today, Heaven Sent Roses has a 25,000 sq.ft. rose garden from which to take cuttings. It is the largest rose garden in North Carolina for the number of varieties grown, which is almost 500. These varieties range from Old Garden Roses dating back before 1865, to Griffith Buck and Earth Kind Rroses, both boasting easy-care varieties that are cold-hardy, drought-tolerant and highly disease resistant. The best time to visit the garden is in May. Peak bloom is usually Mother's Day. Most of the garden is handicap-accessible. Private tours and lectures are available. Site consultation and design are offered.
