To serve as a liaison to support, assist, educate, analyze and help research other alternatives/solutions for those with lawful concerns. To be of service to those facing legal issues to avoid judicial discretion. To be accessible and of service to those incarcerated/facing incarceration. To be of service to families who are unable to effectively communicate with already retained attorneys, courts, or other legal representatives due to employment schedules. To educate and empower minorities with a basic understanding of their rights to protect themselves in an effort to assure due process of the law and the possible impact when facing legal matters. To provide employment for those who worked as 'jailhouse lawyers' (law clerks) To offer alternatives to the high cost of attorny fees Attorney/bondsman referrals Community support referrals (health, housing, etc.) Empowered legal communication capabilities with the legal system
