In regards to, specifically -- Piercing, septum. I know what you're thinking, five stars? Let me tell you why. There are tons of tattoo and piercing joints in the Cape Fear area, and I speak from a range of Jacksonville, Sneads Ferry/Topsail, and Wilmington -- and this is the best one, for many reasons. I have never been pierced before and I wanted to get my septum done. At first I went to a place in Wilmington and it was done too low as I could not conceal it and the jewelry was cheap and *externally threaded*. I later learned that this was damaging to the skin and your piercing site as the grooves scrape your skin, causing more scarring and damage. I had to go back to Jacksonville and find another shop to even open it up enough so I could attempt to flip it up. I had to take it out. Being ignorant of the healing times and placement concerns, I went to another shop in Jacksonville, NC (all good 'word of mouth' reviews) to have it done higher. I told the piercer that I had just been pierced 3-4 days ago and if it would be alright to try up higher. He said sure and we did try. When he went 'higher', one side seemed alright but he told me that the other side of the pierce sit had fell down into the old hole. It was definitely attempted way too soon after the initial piercing and too close to the old hole.
