Jane Button Photography was established over seven years ago, but I have had a love affair with photography since I was a kid. After purchasing my first digital DSLR camera in 2006, I started photographing friends and family members as a hobby. In 2008, I photographed my first engagement session. Soon after that, I shot my first wedding — and I was hooked. Jane Button Photography was established over seven years ago, but I have had a love affair with photography since I was a kid. After purchasing my first digital DSLR camera in 2006, I started photographing friends and family members as a hobby. In 2008, I photographed my first engagement session. Soon after that, I shot my first wedding — and I was hooked. I have photographed over 25 weddings & events since then, along with dozens of portrait sessions for families, business professionals, actors, high school seniors, pets, children and maternity. The skills I learned while obtaining my degree in Theatre from the University of New Hampshire have greatly enhanced my photographic skills. Both acting in the theatre and photographing people & events demand that you constantly be "in the moment" — actively watching, listening and reacting to everything around you. My goal for your wedding, event or portrait session is to always be in the moment, camera to my eye, ready to click the shutter and capture those important details and emotions that make photographs special. My technical and artistic skills were honed at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester, NH, where I earned a Certificate in Photography in 2012. My new studio space is located in the heart of downtown Manchester at 83 Hanover Street (on the 2nd floor of the I.O.O.F. building directly across from the Palace Theatre). It is a light filled space that is perfect for both natural light and studio light portraits.
