I had an absolutely horrible experience with Denise. I hired her in October to help with my house. She gave me an estimate which I could not work with and asked if she could work with my budget. Everything went well in the beginning. However, she never came up with a design for my house, the pictures were always late. I asked her for receipts and invoices. The receipts were never delivered for the items so I have no idea what the items cost. After the first delivery she gave me an invoice for each item she delivered. The prices for those items went up drastically when she delivered the final invoice.. She states that the invoice was supposed to be a percentage of the money that went to each item. This however was not clarified in the contract and she had stated she would provide me with invoices for the prices of the delivered items i the contract. She made adjustments to the payments so that she could take my money and not have to deliver the rest of the items. Her account is blocked on thumbtack. Think twice before working with Denise. I hired her to help me with my kitchen because I was planning a surprise party for my husband and family was coming to town. Sadly, getting involved with her is one of the worst decisions I have ever made. She took advance payment for the job (mainly a kitchen table, dining room table and stools), promising to send me a copy of our contract via email. (I still don't have a copy of the contract and more than a year has passed.) Shortly after our first meeting, she asked for even more money in advance. She did not provide photos or produce pictures as agreed. She did not come back to my home with samples as agreed. Instead, she stalled, made excuses, missed countless deadlines, and lied. She ultimately delivered one table that did not come close to meeting the specifications we discussed. She was supposed to pick it up and return my money, but that never happened. We have never been able to use the table. It is covered up and sitting in a spare room. A kitchen table big enough for my entire extended family was something I had dreamed about. Long talks over coffee and laughter at dinner. I wanted so badly to believe Denise's excuses, and I am paying for it. She still has thousands of dollars that belong to my family. I saw that another client of hers had an experience similar to mine. I am not writing this review to cause harm to Denise. I simply want to spare another person the time, anger, and expense that I have endured.

Beware of Denise. I hired her to help me with my house. She took the money, however no photos came through for the areas she was supposed to help with and she never emailed me a receipt either. She emailed me what she calls a receipt, but then went back and changed the prices on several items because she was not able to completer her project. Please do not waste your money on Denise as a designer. She speaks of over 25 years of experience and honestly I never once saw what this in her work. She brought items that I didnt approve of and asked me to keep them in my house. She said that if I didnt like it then she would take it back, This taking back of items never happened. PLEASE PLEASE BEWARE OF HER AND SPENT YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. I am writing this so that noone else goes to her and hopefully she hasnt been cheating people for over 25 years. Thats a lot of bad karma.
