I hired this company in October of 2012 and had a horrible experience. Among dozens of other issues, the following happened 1) Todd Slamin and his workers did not site verify measurements according to architectural plans and built a dormer higher than roof ridge line. 2) After getting caught installing all of the windows incorrectly, they had to be forced by the city to correct the problems. Among the window problems, they didn't shim or square them, nor provide proper vapor barriers. 3) They stacked cedar window trim onto MDF which had to be completely replaced. 4) The front wall of my house was several inches out of square and sheeted incorrectly. 5) The framing of the pitch of my great room was uneven. 6) I personally caught the Todd stealing copper sheeting after lying to me about its scrap worth 7) Todd charged me for corrections he had to make for code compliance. Things like not putting in an attic access 8) They used a new crawl space as a dumping ground and didn't install a vapor barrier leaving my kitchen over a dump, 9) They spit on my floors and smoked in my house. All of these issues and more have cost me thousands of dollars to repair and correct. I should have sued Thompson Homes, but was sick tired of the process and never willed myself to do so. Yesterday, after over a year since firing Todd, his father sent me an invoice attempting to shake me down for money. Todd lied to me, stole from me, and did shoddy work. I recommend not hiring this company

Horrible company. Hired them to do a job in October 2012. They never completed the job. Failed to follow up. Left the jobsite a mess. Sent a bill for work they never completed. 7+ months later they are trying to say they were just waiting for me to follow up with them so they could complete the job? Who waits 7 months on some small handyman work. Stay away from this company. Difficult to work with. Over-changing for things and padding the bill with other work that never gets completed. Can't say it enough - a bad company to work with.

I am a widow and have three minor children and I know Todd personally and I can attest that his character is just like the experiences listed above from what I have personally seen him do to other home owners and very much disagreed with as well as ceased communications with him due to his lack in care or concern at his faults in business and in his personal life. I would never trust him and I think he is being sued right now by the last job that kicked him out half way through. He is not a good business man and he does not worry me one bit. I once worked for him and did on the last job that I am speaking about. I was also shorted some pay but that is not the reason for the comment at all just advise if you are looking for work ever.
