Dr. John K. McCool grew up in Cleveland, MS and completed his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the University of Mississippi. He went on to obtain his medical education at Georgetown University School of Medicine and an internship in general surgery at Boston University Medical Center. His radiation oncology residency training was completed at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, a teaching hospital of Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, NY. During his education at NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, Dr. McCool served for two years as the chief resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology.
