I bought 2 of these black hole gopher traps. From my experience they were just a waste of money. Never caught a gopher after multiple attempts. They are difficult to set. Gophers just fill them with dirt and either never trip them or the filling with dirt sets them off and does not trap gopher. The slot in the plastic tripper allows the tripper to slide up and down. This up and down motion makes it hard to set. I even took one apart and filled the slot with epoxy then drilled just one small hole for the pivot pin this helps with setting the trap. Before this modification. The easiest way I found to set them was to slide my fingers under the trap wire. Hold the tripper up and then set the trip lever in place. This is best done with( ALL THREE HANDS). I bent and adjusted the trip lever. Filed the end so it was more pointed and would slide out of the trip with less force required. All to no avail. I have given up and tossed them in the trash where they belong!!
