Eric Jackman DVM unethical, irresponsibility and continued lies caused the death of my puppy. My beautiful female German Shepherd puppy called Starr swollen a piece of stick that got stuck in her lower intestines and needed surgery to remove it. I took Starr to my vet, Dr. Jackman in Desert Dunes Animal Hospital and he said he would do the surgery. Without my knowledge it was preformed by Dr. John Howarth instead, who did a very unprofessional job, and within a few weeks the stitches erupted, and my poor Starr hemorrhaged inside and bled to death. I had asked his assistant who did the surgery and she did confirm with me that it was indeed Dr. Howarth that was responsible, but when I confronted Dr. Jackman he insisted that it was him, as he knew he was being unethical and irresponsible without asking or telling me first. My poor Starr went through so much suffering at the hands of Dr. Jackman and Dr. Howarth that when she was brought to me in the waiting room, I hardly recognized her, as she was an old, old dog, not the happy puppy I knew, as she was in so much pain, and within a few weeks she died of the poor surgery that was done. When I told Dr. Jackman he did not even say, I’m sorry, or showed any sympathy or compassion for me or my beloved Starr. She was only 9 months old.
