I am a Clinical Psychologist, specializing in working with couples and families. I got my PhD at Emory University in 1972, with a specialty in Child Psychology. Over the years I have worked with a wide variety of children, adults, couples and families. I see all of those entities, and sometimes I work in several or all of those formats with a single family. I might see the parents together, then the whole family, then a child or the children together and then the family again. I might also see any member of the family alone, usually briefly, to fill in my understanding. I sometimes refer one or more people to other therapists, when appropriate. The important thing is that we use whatever formats and combinations are effective for moving things forward.
