SCORE is an acronym that stands for Service Corp of Retired Executives, however it is rarely used in that manner since most members now are either semi-retired or working executives and managers who want to give back to their business community. Ventura County Chapter #255 has been serving the area for more than forty years and currently has 58 members who volunteer their time answering phones, providing free face-to-face counseling, on-site mentoring, participation in on-going workshops and seminars and scheduling appointments in our offices in Westlake and Oxnard. Counseling is also done at virtually every Chamber of Commerce in Ventura County.
