Michael makes one-of-a-kind whimsical birdhouses, crosses, shelves and flower boxes out of discarded wood and metal. Michael Whitley has been sheltering homeless birds since 2004, building birdhouses and crosses for over six years. His art instructors include James F. Whitley; Graduate of the Kahn Institute of Art, Beverly Hills and the prestigious Cleveland Institute of Art. Dave Bryce; Self taught wood worker & highly successful artisan. "I like using recycled wood & metal as a medium. I use old 'junk' I find in alleys, old farms and scrapyards. I enjoy the natural beauty and I'm grateful for the gift GOD has given me to accentuate these whimsical elements."
