I am a former employee of California Medical Response (Cal-Med) and I can say that out of all the ambulance companies I have worked for, this was the best. No, we didn't have the best pay (although much better than most), or the best equipment (still better than most) but I found that Cal-Med offered things that no other company could. If you want to work for a FAMILY, and become a part of that family, I suggest you work for Cal-Med. When I was there we had set partners (major plus) and only worked three days a week. I got to know my patients personally because many were dialysis. I recommend Cal-Med for any EMT looking for a job or to any perspective patient looking for a caring and truly respectable staff.
