Prior to founding Black Horse Advisors, Mr. Ashburne was a Director of Structured Commodity Products at Standard Bank, Managing Director and Group Head in Project Finance at Deutsche Bank and with earlier positions at UBS, Barclays, Peter Kiewit Sons and J.P. Morgan. A major current client is the U.S. Department of Energy where Mr Ashburne advises on renewable energy projects.
