Placed an order for a Daiwa Saltiga 35n - 2 speed reel on 11/27/19 with credit card charged for full purchase price on 11/28. I did not receive email confirmation so called to confirm on 11/29. Was told the reel was in stock and would ship within 2 days and that I would receive tracking number via email. Didn’t hear anything so called again on 12/6 and spoke to the owner, Chris. Was told they were swamped with orders and that it would go out within 2 days with emailed tracking number. Again, hearing nothing, called back on 12/10. Was now told they would be receiving the reel today on a reel that was supposedly in stock When it was ordered. I called back on 12/14. I was assured that the reel had been shipped and that Chris, the owner would email me the tracking number as soon as he finished with a customer. I again received nothing and was told the reel had shipped and that Chris would email me a tracking number when he got off the phone with a customer. Yeah, right. Again, nothing.
To summarize, I placed an order for a near $400 reel that was supposedly in stock. After 5 phone calls over the course of 3 weeks and being lied to and jerked around, I still don’t have the reel nor any proof it was ever sent. I’ve disputed this purchase on my credit card. Reputable merchants don’t do business this way. Caveat Emptor!
