I've been coming here since 2015 and, until recently, have been mostly satisfied with Comfort Vision's services and their employees. This year that all changed when they have proven to me that they are incapable of properly communication with insurance providers. I made an appointment for a Saturday for my wife, my two kids, and myself. On Thursday or Friday I received a phone call from the office stating that they were unable to find my children in VSP, despite having had them as patients in previous years. I checked on VSPs website and my kids were not listed there either, so I had assumed there was some issue with my benefits. I told them I would pay cash for the visit since I assumed they were not insured for whatever reason and I didn't have time to check with my benefits provider at the time; additionally since my appointment was so close I did not want to try and reschedule appointments for four people. After the appointment I checked with my benefits provider and discovered that my children were in fact covered under my benefits. I called VSP and was told that this is a common happening with their insurance as dependents will "fall off" and that providers should call to have them added back on. Comfort Vision did not do this and instead reached out directly to me before ever calling VSP to confirm. Check Google or Yelp for full review.
