Today I was driving on a rainy stretch of 1-75 South between Cincinnati and Lexington KY. I saw a truck coming up behind me from the far right lane, go behind me in the middle lane, get in the fast lane, then go back over to the far right lane. There was almost no traffic on the road at this time. It was approximately 10:25 AM. The truck slowed and I was in the almost middle of the trailer in the middle lane. The truck suddenly starts coming over fast cutting hard into my lane. I had to slam on the breaks as a faster car was overtaking me in the fast lane. In other words I had nowhere to go. I honest to God thought I was dead. I laid on the horn to no avail. The driver never slowed. Never moved back. He was totally oblivious. I cautiously decided to hang back and then was able to get up beside the truck and attempted to get the drivers attention. He. Was. So. Out. Of. It. I snapped pics, called the company and let the manager have it. He then made several attempts to contact the driver all calls which the driver ignored. Again-driver appeared to be out of it. He was swerving into the shoulder. (I have video of this). Finally the driver took the owners call and the driver had NO RECOLLECTION. None. The manager called back (not the owner, I guess he couldn’t be bothered) and said he was going to let the driver continue his trip to SOUTH CAROLINA!!! I called the cops afterward. I was AMAZED. I’m sure the office people are great and no doubt the majority of drivers are but this guy and an apparently absentee landlord owner are people I would want hauling anything that I could get tied to. If I could get a hold of their customers I’d call each personally.
