Here is a poem I wrote about Toad`s, not something I expected when I first entered it. A Dream of My Friend`s Hearth/ My friend has a comfy hearth/ That will seldom flare./ He teaches me many things/ That helps me more deeply care./ He takes a few wood pieces/ By reaching high above./ He carves and whittles away/ Shaping things of love./ After we`ve shared some cups/ Of his premium brew/ He`ll sometimes take my hand,/ Smile, and say, "Thank-you."/ All this takes small time,/ Which is often my only part,/ As I leave with a lighter step/ And a full and grateful heart. Now the review. When I went in the first time, I was pretty sure I was done with grocery store coffee and the other coffee shops as I was having some stomach problems. Before I bought a pound bag, he had me buy a cup. The taste was awesome. His claims needed to be proven so I bought a bag. By the third cup I brewed I was inclined to believe most of them. My stomach improved greatly and I`m sure, by non litmus evidence, my ph was improving, not a claim of his, all his claims were for purity. Obviously a good friendship grew from this. (Before I go further, he has NO FIREPLACE in the shop. The poem was referring to his quartz space heater.) Now it`s the only coffee I drink so I don`t know what I will do without him. Suffer as I go off caffeine, probably. And my granddaughter loves the chocolate and homemade toys. Jim and his coffee rocks!
