July 06, 2012 DO NOT USE MARY PAPE! In my opinion she is not a competent repairman and should not be licensed (if she actually is) to work on tv repairs. I called her and explained that my tv, 4 yr old JVC flat screen HD LCD was experiencing on again off again problems with turning on. When I called her it was working fine, no issues and told her this but she insisted on coming out to take a look because she said it sounded like something easy to replace in my home, under $100 which would save me a huge repair bill in the future. She came to my home on Saturday. I showed her the tv,turned it on, showed her it was functioning properly. She insisted on taking a look inside. She was the first and only person to take the back panel off. She said she needed to take two of the boards back to her shop to replace some power connectors. I paid her the $40 estimate house call fee.She said she will be back the following day at 1pm. At 1pm the following day, I had to call her and ask where she was. She said she didn't have a car and couldn't get a hold of her driver. This went on all afternoon, one excuse after another! She finally showed up at my house around 8 or 830pm. She brought her young son to help?? When she reinstalled the two boards and put back my back panel, there were three extra screws. She said she didn't know how that happened. Mary Pape is a RIPP-OFF---------Don’t trust her Called Mary Pape to fix my 46' flat screen TV(vizio)which i described the problem(TV had no picture but you could hear the news) to her and she said she can fix it for $180. Set up an appointment with which she was three hours late. She kept calling me and saying she was waiting on her transportation. When she finally made it she looked at TV then took the back of it off and explained to me that she could not fix it at my home she would have to take it to her shop and it would be $230 instead of $180 so I gave her a $40 deposit Mary said she would have it to me in four days. So Mary called me once the TV was fixed and set an app. for her to bring the TV. At that time she told me my TV was completely fixed no other problems. Once she came to my home she plugged TV up and it had two red lines in the middle of the screen. She told me she didn’t know how that happen because when she plugged it up at her shop it was completely normal. She tried to fix it in my home which she was unsuccessful. So she told me she would have take it back to the shop. On top of that she ask me if I can give her $20 for gas and she would deduct that from what I owe on MY TV once its fix. What ever you do stay away from this business. she will get your TV hold it for weeks not be able to fix it and oh she wants the money up front and will pay you back in installments....There are court papers coming on here...ask around but consider yourself warned BBB has her on thier list
