I have just come from Montville Auto, in Lisbon,CT. I have a BMW X3. I have needed to get my oil changed and called on sat. for a quote. I was quoted $ 80-90 the oil change. I said ok, he responded that he would order what he needed. I.E... synthetic oil, and the filters he would need. I then made an appointment for tuesday 2/14/11. I went in about 11:15 am and it took about 45 min-1 hour. He came out and said I was all set. I gave him my card and he handed me the receipt to sign. I looked at it and it said 145.79!!!! I at this point was studdering. I asked why and where was my detailed slip of explaination of services that was done??? He replyed oh you want that???? I said yes! He proceeded to have to think about what was done as he filled it out-so it would equal the amoutnt he charged. No where in the office is a list of services and how much they are! I am a female, 46 years old, and I do know about cars.and how much services should cost that is why I said yes to the 80-90 dollar range(which is perfectly understandable) But Never 147.97 I will be reporting him to DMV and The Better Businiess Bureau.
