We had to redo the contract. Due to the house not working on the lot. We had to pay over $4000.00 to get the house redrawn. He said he would work with us. His new contract had a clause that for any reason he felt he could penalize us a 25% fee for the whole cost of the project including his $180,000 dollar contractor fee. We gave him $50,000 dollars to start with. He didn't even get the first permit. We only got back $13,000 dollars of the $50,000.00. He walked away with $34,000.00 dollars. We knew not to sign the first contract because of the way it was written. He works at Wake Med with my son. My son told us to trust him that he was a honest man. He wanted us to sign the contract. He said that we were insulting his integrity. I wouldn't let him build a dog house for me! When we went before the arbitrator he got up there and told a bunch of lies. He will have to answer for what he has done someday!
