This company did a very poor job of appraising my home. Not only did they have incorrect information, they also left out many of the important features of my home. The comps they uses were as far as 4 miles from my home. There were several excellent comps in my neighborhood that sold in the last 8 months but instead they used comps that were not at all like my home. I discussed this with the vice president of our bank. She lives in the area and when she saw the appraisal she agreed that it was unrealistic. She contacted the appraiser but he did not return her call just as he failed to return our emails. Whittington Appraisals did not prevent us from getting our loan, but I certainly would not recommend them to anyone who wants a quality job.
