Over time these painters become very expensive -- I know because sometimes I am asked to do estimates for them and I must add, on average, about 20% to their prices over mine. I should mention -- it's very important -- that I use the very best quality products which I constantly seek to update. Where material might by 20% of your contract the additional cost of superior products, perhaps 20%, would only add 4% to your job. For an exterior this might mean a 15 year job instead of a 3. Worth it? I believe so.
