Losing Annie, my Best Friend (and rescue dog since November, 1998), last week was extremely difficult. In my grief, I turned to Cherished Companions. In this day and age of practically non-existent customer service, I didn't know what to expect. Steve Britt was so, so helpful and professional. He referred to Annie by her formal name (Little Orphan Annie); he never once said "the dog" or "she" or "her." Annie became quite the diva in her 13+ years; she would have loved the fact that she didn't get downgraded at her passing, and that her remains were treated with respect and care. I will never live one day without missing Annie, but the treatment both she and I received at Hamlett-Dobson became a GREAT comfort to me at a very difficult time.
