Halltown Medical Rescue (QRU) is a non profit organization of volunteer First Responders in the event of medical and trauma emergencies. The Halltown Medical Rescue (QRU) was the first all volunteer First Responder organization in the state of MO (1979), aimed at responding to medical and trauma emergencies apart from any fire departments. Mary White of Halltown and 7 other great people saw a need for emergency medical care in the community before an ambulance could arrive, so they organized the Halltown QRU (quick response unit) with the help of Dr. John M. Fry D.O. of Mt. Vernon, MO and the Civil Defense. The Halltown Medical Rescue is always in need of new First Responders. We will teach you everything you need to know to care for your neighbors, friends and your own family in the event of a medical or trauma emergency. If you have the time and want to give to the community, your help would be priceless!!
