I spent 32 years of my life as a public school teacher and administrator. A few years ago, two of my co-workers bega n making and selling jewelry, which I quickly found fascinating. I enlisted their help and expertise and soon I was making my own. It didn't take long before my jewelry wardrobe was overflowing. About that time I retired from my administrative position. Just because I had all the jewelry I needed didn't mean I was going to stop such a fun past time, so I decided that it was time to take the products of my jewelry-making hobby to the public. I learned about Etsy, and after spending some time exploring the shops and seeing the outstanding work represented here, I decided to set up my own shop. I have to say I haven't found my "niche" as far as creating jewelry is concerned. I love bead weaving, kumihimo, working with wire, beading; and I love working with various media--crystals, especially Swarovski crystals, lamp work and other glass beads, semiprecious gemstones and pearls, seed beads, leather, glass, wire, and paracord. I love learning new methods and techniques. But when it came time to name my shop, I wanted it to reflect my love of crystals and represent the style of jewelry that I love, so the shop title quickly evolved--Nancy's Crystal Fantasy. Creating and wearing jewelry brings me pleasure and pride, and I want other women to share those feelings as they wear jewelry from Nancy's Crystal Fantasy. I am proud to be a member of the JETs (Jewelry on Etsy Team). This team is an amazing group of talented artists from all over the world. I am also proud to be a contributing member of Self Representing Artist Jewelry Designer (SRAJD-member 3106), which assures that my jewelry is designed and made by me. It is my hope that you will love my jewelry as much as I do. Every piece is unique, one-of-a-kind, and made with love in my home. It is crafted with care to give the wearer many, many years of wearing pleasure. My customers are my number one priority, and I want everyone to be happy with their special jewelry pieces.
