Do some real research if you are seriously looking for a Newfoundland-- and ask yourself if you really want to take the risk of dealing with an outfit that has so many question marks. And finally, remember that a good reputation is a breeder's most important asset and takes years to build, so ask yourself why a kennel that has supposedly been in business for 15 years would all of a sudden change their name? I have visited Lighthouse Newfoundlands on several occasions. The facilities are always clean and the dogs are well cared for. Lisa spends time with her dogs every day and they obviously love her very much as she loves them. Her puppies are raised in her home and they receive a lot of personal attention as they are growing so the adapt well to their new homes when it's time for them to go. They make great pets and she has many satisfied clients.
