This company was initially formed in 2004, under the name of Splain Development, LLC. The company was formed to promote a self transfer device, which was developed to enable a friend (the late John McKinney) to maintain some independence performing his activities of daily living. With the daunting number of people who need assistance with transferring to walkers, wheelchairs, or bedside commodes, our company hopes to help any and all who have this need.
