With origins dating back to 1967, Arthur “Spider” Webb founded Elect-A-Van Service, Inc. with his garage as his warehouse, and a “64” Plymouth as his delivery van. Spider’s guiding principles were simple: offer the highest quality battery and lighting products available, along with unbeatable service, and adherence to an uncommon level of integrity. Billie Webb, Spider’s wife, also joined the company and together they created and built a formidable company in the battery and luminaire marketplace. Sons Don and Chip Webb, who worked at Elect-A-Van for many years prior, eventually took over the day-to-day operations of the business and in 2008 incorporated as a dba – EVS Supply. Don & Chip, along with a great team, carried on this same foundational legacy and grew EVS to new levels of success. Most notably, the excellent relationship forged with Tadiran Battery. In July 2019, Brett and Vickie Baker purchased the company and are building upon the business and relationships put in place by the Webb family over the preceding 52-years. With the availability of several new technologies and the people to take full advantage of them, continued growth is at the forefront of EVS. Also, interestingly, many of the team members that worked with Spider, Billie, Don and Chip continue to work at EVS to this day. And while EVS Supply stands for Elect-A-Van Service, our mantra and the hallmark of EVS Supply is Energy – Light – Life! Energy – Not just in the custom battery packs, standard batteries, and energy-saving LED bulbs/lamps we sell, but in our way of doing business. EVS has a passion for helping people that shines through and keeps our customers coming back. Light – Yes EVS sells a wide variety of luminaires, but also many of our batteries are powering essential lighting devices used in a number of applications and markets.
